About Author

Howard Pyle, born on March 5th in 1853, is an author and a teacher. His most notable works were The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood and Men of Iron, both adapted into movies. Pyle had an important role in literacy – he redesigned children’s books as well as books in general by introducing design, which was his passion. He also worked as the illustration teacher at Drexel Institute of Art.
